Commend Line Monitoring: The electronic finger on the pulse of loudspeaker lines
Just imagine there’s an emergency call on, but nobody is listening – because the loudspeaker is on the blink. A simply unacceptable situation in Intercom environments, especially if the safety and lives of people are at stake.
For Commend’s Series AF 50 amplifiers, sound volume alone is not enough. True to the high Intercom 2.0 quality standard, reliability in an AF 50 ranks just as high on the list of priorities.
This is made possible by an ingenious function in the digital and IP versions of our 50-Watt amplifiers: full Loudspeaker Line Monitoring that covers all loudspeaker lines of an Intercom system.
The Line Monitoring feature keeps a keen electronic eye on all 70 V/100 V loudspeaker lines, checking them continually for possible faults, including:
- Short circuits
- Earth faults
- Line interruptions
- Impedance changes
All this happens fully automatically and without any interruptions of ongoing sound output.
Best of all, Commend’s Loudspeaker Line Monitoring requires no additional hardware and works with all regular 70 V/100 V loudspeakers. The function can be activated via a license.
