Where performance becomes audible
This is where the stuff that Intercom dreams are made of – millions of individual components – are compiled into the solutions that customers want and that cause users to listen up.
There are three steps in the assembly process that unite individual components into high-performance Intercom 2.0 devices:
Automated assembly
Using the most advanced mounting technologies, nimble surface-mounting devices mount 40,000 components per hour with pin-point accuracy (less than that, actually – about half the width of a human hair.
Manual assembly
Where even high-tech cannot reach, human dexterity lends a helping hand. The targeted placement of components with special shape is where the experience of our assembly specialists really pays off.
Final assembly
This is where the devices receive their outer enclosures and exterior design that traditionally indicates to customers and users that “if it says Commend on the outside, there is quality inside”.
That this is much more than just a nice-sounding claim is the result of our uniquely thorough quality assurance. Spot checks are simply not good enough, which is why each individual component undergoes a strict regimen of quality tests in accordance with our own and internationally approved standards.
Using a specially developed, video-based testing method, over three decades of experience test each and every part to verify its compliance with these high quality standards. The final and strictest test, however, is still performed by that most precise of all testing equipment available: the human ear.
