In order to verify their absolute reliability for use in Ex zones with hazardous gases or dusts, the Intercom stations are both ATEX-, CCC- and IECEx-certified. Based on a rugged, corrosion-resistant and lightweight “Ex e” polycarbonate housing, the Series EX 7000D enables simple and rapid installation, eliminates expensive routine servicing and drastically reduces maintenance costs. Additionally, the IP66 certification (acc. to EN/IEC 60079-0) and a wide permissible temperature range make the Intercom stations the perfect choice for a wide range of applications in explosive environments. Thanks to the dust- and water-insensitive microphones and the 16 kHz eHD Voice audio quality, the Series EX 7000D comes with highest speech intelligibility. Even in very noisy environments, two powerful amplifiers for the optional built-in loudspeaker and a connectable PA loudspeaker ensure a crystal clear sound. The digital Audio Recording Card G8-AUD for the Intercom Servers GE 800 provides four or two audio channels as Plug-&-Play interface to PA systems and Radio systems with up to 16 kHz audio bandwidth. All audio in- and outputs have level adjustment, a Graphic Equalizer for adjustment of the tone characteristics and are galvanically isolated. The G8-AUD card contains relay contacts, which can be used for any desired function.
