Smart Communication Network
Symphony Mesh
IP stations, IP modules, and IP speakers connect to form a smart, autonomous communication network without a server. Mesh systems support up to 9,999 devices. They can also be seamlessly integrated into on-premises servers, and cloud services can be used via the Symphony Bridge.

Call Management

Call establishment and Call distribution
Parallel Call
A call is initiated to several contacts at the same time. If a contact accepts the call, the call is ended at all other contacts. If the call is declined by one or more contacts, the call remains active until it is accepted by a contact or it is ended via a timeout.
Chain Call
A call is initiated to several contacts one after the other. If the call is not accepted (specified duration) by a contact in the configured sequence, the call is forwarded to the next contact. If the call is not answered, it is forwarded back to the first contact.
Receiving and handling calls
- Up to 20 calls can be received simultaneously on one receiving station
- Scrollable call list for easy call overview
- User can switch between incoming calls
- Call forwarding
- Preview video
- Do Not Disturb (DND) function
For more advanced control room functions, such as different queues or priorities, an on-premises server is required.

Action Sequences
Action sequences can be used to program Commend IP devices to perform complex control and function sequences independently—without any server intelligence.
The functions can be combined in many ways and activated by different triggers. Here is an excerpt of some of the functions.
- Time sequence – actions depending on the day of the week and time
- Call actions – establish/hold/end call, chain call, parallel call, do not disturb mode, etc.
- Monitor inputs and control outputs - open doors and barriers, read statuses, etc.
- Audio actions – Play audio file, adjust volume, monitor speakers and microphone, etc.
- Video actions - movement as trigger, snapshot, ...
- Display actions - Change layout, control advertising mode, adjust brightness, etc.
- Additional actions – send email, http(s) client action, send DTMF tone, ...

Symphony Mesh
Actions and Functions

Play audio files
Depending on the application, an audio file can be played automatically, such as a welcome message at a door intercom, additional information, music, a reassuring message at an emergency call station, or a message with location information at the receiving intercom (e.g., “East Entrance”).

Monitor inputs
- Buttons or switches – e.g., emergency call button, door opening button, presence switch
- Sensors – e.g., door contact, motion detector, tamper contact
- Alarms – e.g., signal from the fire alarm or access control system that automatically triggers an announcement or call

Control outputs
- Door opener or barrier control
- Control of light or signal lamps (e.g., emergency call lamp)
- Activation of external alarm sirens or cameras
- Feedback to building management or security systems

Video features
- Video call (SIP video – fully encrypted in one stream)
- ONVIF-Profil S
- RTSP streaming
- MJPEG streaming
- Motion detection (can be used as a trigger in action sequences)
- Display of video feeds when idle (up to 4 video streams simultaneously)
- Snapshot and send via email

Detect tampering, protect your network and door openers
The IP Secure Connector is securely mounted indoors and ensures a completely secure installation. Any unauthorized attempt to open the intercom station will cause the IP Secure Connector to disconnect the intercom and LAN connections.

PIN code for access and more
The PIN code can be used for simple access control to open doors and barriers, but also in combination with other actions. For example, a screen with additional functions can be activated or an output controlled via PIN code.

Display capabilities
- Display of information
- Advertising mode
- Switch screen (action)

Public address
IP speakers can be integrated into the mesh communication network in the same way as intercom stations and used for public address announcements. Horn, projector, ceiling, and wall speakers are available for outdoor and indoor use.

Integrating and Controlling
Commend devices can interact with other systems and also be integrated.
- Interaction via inputs and outputs, http(s) client actions, API (SymMX)
- Integration via standards (SIP, Onvif, MQTT) and API (SymMX)
See also ComPLC for comprehensive control logic including interfaces (e.g., KNX, Modbus).
