The dynamic, timeless design of the station series EE 972AS fits perfectly into any modern office environment. The graphic display with backlight shows a multitude of functions. Via the menu function, it is possible to scroll through a subscriber index or function list and to call up a specific function directly. Calling number and name are indicated as well as messages, call type and events, e.g. for alarms. A bright multifunction LED clearly indicates different conditions of the station´s operation. An integrated output amplifier allows different volume levels to be set for conversations, sounds, reception of music etc. The Intercom station series EE 972AS is manufactured in state-of-the-art DSP technology, which enables functions such as OpenDuplex, audio monitoring or loudspeaker/microphone surveillance. In order to verify their absolute reliability for use in Ex zones with hazardous gases or dusts, the Intercom stations are both ATEX-, CCC- and IECEx-certified. Based on a rugged, corrosion-resistant and lightweight “Ex e” polycarbonate housing, the Series EX 7000D enables simple and rapid installation, eliminates expensive routine servicing and drastically reduces maintenance costs. Additionally, the IP66 certification (acc. to EN/IEC 60079-0) and a wide permissible temperature range make the Intercom stations the perfect choice for a wide range of applications in explosive environments. Thanks to the dust- and water-insensitive microphones and the 16 kHz eHD Voice audio quality, the Series EX 7000D comes with highest speech intelligibility. Even in very noisy environments, two powerful amplifiers for the optional built-in loudspeaker and a connectable PA loudspeaker ensure a crystal clear sound. Furthermore, the microphone and the IVC feature (Intelligent Volume Control) allow to adjust the volume automatically to the ambient noise – even during playback.

Managing of 8 inputs with 5 steps and 8 outputs, thereof 4 make- and 4 change-over contacts. Status-LEDs for all inputs and outputs show the function at a glance, additionally the line from the ET 8E8A to the central is continuously monitored. Mounting is possible in a 19“ rack on a DIN rail or with the supplied mounting rail for wall mounting.
