By focusing on the highest safety levels, simple operation and future proof scalability, Commend’s Series EX 7000D is especially designed for communication in potentially explosive atmospheres. In order to verify their absolute reliability for use in Ex zones with hazardous gases or dusts, the Intercom stations are both ATEX-, CCC- and IECEx-certified. Based on a rugged, corrosion-resistant and lightweight “Ex e” polycarbonate housing, the Series EX 7000D enables simple and rapid installation, eliminates expensive routine servicing and drastically reduces maintenance costs. Additionally, the IP66 certification (acc. to EN/IEC 60079-0) and a wide permissible temperature range make the Intercom stations the perfect choice for a wide range of applications in explosive environments. Thanks to the dust- and water-insensitive microphones and the 16 kHz eHD Voice audio quality, the Series EX 7000D comes with highest speech intelligibility. Even in very noisy environments, two powerful amplifiers for the optional built-in loudspeaker and a connectable PA loudspeaker ensure a crystal clear sound. Furthermore, the microphone and the IVC feature (Intelligent Volume Control) allow to adjust the volume automatically to the ambient noise – even during playback.

While developing SIP-WS 211V DA, Commend’s commitment was to provide an Intercom station that was to be especially easy to operate by any user while providing clear intelligibility under all ambient conditions. The target was to build “the world’s most barrier-free Intercom station” that would support equal opportunities for impaired persons to participate in public life. The special Intercom station equipment developed for this purpose ranges from a special call button in contrasting colours for the visually impaired and extra large LED pictograms to HD Voice sound and inductive speech transmission. The resulting multi-purpose Intercom station even exceeds the official requirements for people with visual and hearing impairments and the accessibility regulations in accordance with the equal opportunities for the disabled principle (see “Two-Senses Principle”). What is more, the integrated IEC 60118-4 compliant induction loop system is setting new worldwide standards in Intercom barrier-freeness for the benefit of users and customers

The 2-wire door station module ET 861A was developed for use at doors and gates as well as entry ways and internal security gates. The elegant modern design is matched to the Vario 6 series from Siedle. Further function modules matching the door station module are available. This way, all areas to which a speech connection is required can be integrated into the Intercom system. Thus, all advantages of the Intercom system can be used — e.g. call transfer into the telephone or cellular network and networking. The door station module ET 861A uses the latest DSP technology, which allows functions like audio monitoring, loudspeaker/microphone surveillance or OpenDuplex . Typical applications of the door station module include speech solution at doors and gates, barriers and turnstiles. The ET 861A is available for flush as well as surface mounting and for integration in columns or letterbox systems.

SIP-WS 200V
The OpenDuplex capable and vandal resistant SIP stations have been developed and designed for areas with high requirements on safety. They are connected directly to the Ethernet (LAN/WAN) and in this manner are connected to a compatible SIP server via the IP network. The built-in switch with downlink function allows direct connection of an additional IP device (e.g. an IP camera). Besides high volume, the SIP stations provide a numerous amount of further features: Pre-recorded audio can be applied in a multi-purpose manner, e.g. as acoustic indication at line fault or as waiting infor- mation at call initiation. A configurable background noise suppression provides a crystal clear communication in challenging situations. Furthermore, the stations are perfectly suited for use as door stations at entrances and gateways, due to integrated relay outputs. The 3 mm stainless steel front panel with tamper protection and special screws protects against vandalism. The robust construction provides full protection against water, dirt and dust – IP rating IP66. Each button can be allocated to a call number and the relevant label area can be filled in individually. The red emergency call button is easily visible from a considerable distance and can be activated quickly in emergency situations.
