1972 - First Generation Intercom System
Founded in Salzburg, Austria in 1971, Commend introduced its first-generation intercom station in 1972. While less advanced compared to our current offerings, this initial system shared the same objective that drives us today: enhancing communication wherever intercom stations are deployed. This station was designed to be compatible with third-party intercom systems, and although we do not offer this model anymore, the classics inspired the systems we develop today.
1993 - First Fully Digital Intercom Station
During the digital revolution, Commend introduced the EE 771 digital intercom station, revolutionizing our approach to communication. Since transitioning to digital solutions, we have exponentially accelerated our ability to innovate and integrate new technologies into our existing systems and develop stations from the ground up. Needless to say, we've been keeping this momentum alive since the EE 771 took the market by storm.
2005-Present - The Modern Age of IP Intercom
After adopting IP intercom technology in 2005, which sparked a series of innovations leading to our current state-of-the-art systems. Incorporating IP networking technologies into Commend intercom stations changed the game, paving the way for a surge in advanced technological breakthroughs. Recently, we proudly introduced Ivy, our conversational AI, made possible by ideas inspired by nearly two decades of bold and inventive progress.
