WKO Secretary General Visits Commend International
As part of his inaugural visit to Salzburg yesterday, the new Secretary General of the Wirtschaftskammer Österreich ( Austrian Federal Economic Chamber ), Wolfgang Hattmannsdorfer, visited Commend International together with Gerd Raspotnig, Deputy Director of the Wirtschaftskammer Salzburg (Salzburg Economic Chamber). After a short introduction to our company and a live demonstration of our latest solutions – made possible with the support of the FFG Österreichische Forschungsförderungsgesellschaft mbH (Austrian Research Promotion Agency) — they toured our production facilities and research audio laboratory . Noisy environments make communication challenging, but our advanced systems ensure clear conversations . We continuously refine our systems to provide the highest speech quality, even in extreme conditions. The Speech Transmission Index (STI) measures intelligibility, with 1.00 being perfect face-to-face communication. Commend achieves up to 0.96 STI, making it ideal for industries where communication is critical. Here‘s an example: Garbage trucks need to register when they come to waste processing plants. The environment is loud and the trucks themselves generate additional noise. Poor audio leads to long queues and disrupted traffic and to frustration for security operations center (SOC) operators who handle up to 100 calls a day. If they still can’t understand what the driver is saying after asking repedetly, the security staff needs to leave their posts to speak face-to-face – which leaves other areas unmonitored.
