Instant Alerts with Active Device Managment
Symphony Cloud now enables Active Device Management . This new service provides real-time monitoring , automatic firmware updates , and asset management to remotely resolve problems – even for devices that traditionally couldn’t be managed remotely, such as those connected through mesh networks or hosted on local servers. It’s designed to minimize manual work, improve operational efficiency , and ensure every device is performing as expected. A comprehensive solution for organizations that need centralized control over large device networks. One of the key features is the notifications option . Through a bell in the cloud interface as well as through emails sent directly to the user. The system keeps a constant watch over your devices and sends targeted alerts the moment something important happens. For example, if a device goes offline because of a lost internet connection, power outage, or accidental cable damage, an immediate notification is triggered. In environments with hundreds of stations, this ensures you’re alerted instantly, rather than discovering problems days or weeks later, especially when managing so many devices across multiple locations. All notifications are designed to be actionable, so your team can respond quickly and with context. Manual inspections, routine checkups, and the risk of unnoticed issues can all be reduced. With Active Device Management, Symphony Cloud offers a scalable, intelligent way to monitor, maintain, and secure your devices . Whether you're managing 5 devices or 500, you’ll always be in control. From Input to Insight: Centralised Monitoring for Enhanced Security
We are excited to introduce a new enhancement in our Symphony Control Desk solution that significantly improves operational efficiency and incident awareness. With this update, our system can now display input messages and line fault messages through distinct visual and acoustic signals . Imagine being in charge of a huge office building with multiple wings and doors - you want to ensure everything is safe and secure, especially when the building is unoccupied. The Symphony Control Desk can now receive input messages, such as open windows or doors, particularly in sensitive areas. These messages can be categorized into two types: informational messages , which provide a heads up, and alarm messages , which signal a more severe issue. With our ComPLC tool, users can even create custom logic, for example automatically triggering an alarm when two signals are triggered simultaneously. The system also alerts operators to line fault messages , which occur in the rare case that a device goes offline, e.g. due to a power outage or other issue. The goal of this enhanced functionality is to enable even better remote monitoring , allowing control desk operators to identify and address discrepancies throughout the building from a central location. This is not limited to the example of a big building. It can be applied to various scenarios , like as international car parks, where input messages can monitor pedestrian doors, barriers, and ticket machines. By leveraging input messages, the Symphony Control Desk provides an overview about the current state of the system and minimizes the need for human intervention , except when necessary for remediation. This streamlines processes and maximizes efficiency, making it an essential tool for organizations that prioritize security, monitoring, and maintenance. The Symphony Control Desk is designed to provide a single, unified view of an organisation’s security and operations , allowing operators to respond quickly and effectively to any issues that arise. Overall, it is a powerful tool that helps to keep organizations safe, secure, and running smoothly. It's like having a virtual guardian that keeps an eye on everything and alerts you to any problems, so you can take action to fix them. By providing real-time monitoring and automated alerts, the Symphony Control Desk helps organizations reduce risks and improve their overall security posture .

Téléo-Tisséo | Cable Car Communication System
Success Story: Comprehensive communications and public address solution for cable cars Teleo-Tisseo Cable Cars Overview Challenge Solution Result Free download Challenge Tisséo, the cable car operator, was looking for a comprehensive communication and information solution that was reliable, integrated, interoperable with other existing operating systems and easy to use. The stakes were high in terms of passenger safety, and the solution had to accompany passengers from departure to arrival, via the lifts, platforms and cabins. These communication points had to be suited for people with all types of disability, taking into account the particularities of urban operations. This solution had to guarantee high sound quality with robust operational functioning due to intensive use. Customer Information France's longest urban cable car in Toulouse is part of the southern Toulouse public transport belt, making it easier to travel between the east and west of the city. More info Solution 4x Y-WS211VIDA-AP intercoms customised specifically for Tisséo 3x WS211VIDA 20x AFLS 10HCW IP speaker equipped with MIC480 for public address on the 3 platforms 8x AFLS10HHG also for public address systems at the three platforms 16x ET908H-1 with MIC480 and AFIL for custom integration in the cabins 3x Y-100116 lift cabin intercoms 6x Y-AP862TP-S lift car roof and pithead intercoms 3x EE972AS master stations 1 VirtuoSIS virtual server to manage the entire solution and guarantee operational availability 1 Studio by Commend software package with the E-REC module for recording conversations and the E-RPT module, a live reporting tool Result As a partner for over 10 years, Commend France has been able to keep pace with changing needs as a result of joint projects such as the tramway, metro, park-and-ride facilities and now the cable car. The specially customised Intercom system for Tisséo meets the PHMR standard, making it possible to standardise emergency call stations. The public address system is controlled by the same master stations that operate the Intercom stations. The overall solution delivers high sound quality thanks to background noise reduction and Intelligent Volume Control (IVC), which automatically adapts the volume to the ambient noise level to ensure that communication or information messages are always intelligible. The intercom systems integrated into the gondolas are linked to the stations' voice announcement modules and to the radio for UHF broadcasting, optimising the use of existing equipment and, above all, prioritising audio streams. All the equipment is supervised by the master stations and also by the server. A special function has been implemented to forward calls to other master stations when a station's security officer activates the ‘absence’ mode via the server. When the operator activates this mode because of a security check on the platform, at that moment if a passenger requests a station intercom, a pre-recorded message is played over the public address system telling the operator that he is expected at the security station. The loudspeaker at the boarding station is linked to the cable car's automatic system and broadcasts messages when the doors open and close, making the system more comfortable to use and safer for passengers. The choice of the Virtuo SIS virtual server means that the solution can be redundant on the virtual platform, guaranteeing the highest level of service availability. The system is equipped with audio recording and statistics software to track all occurrences. Customer Voice PATRICK VIAL Tisséo Collectivité – Toulouse Head of Asset Systems and Investment Téléo represents an innovation in urban public transport systems; the integration of equipment such as video surveillance, passenger information and, of course, real-time ground/board communication (including Intercom), has contributed to the challenge of integrating this new mode of transport into the existing urban public transport system.
