By focusing on the highest safety levels, simple operation and future proof scalability, Commend’s Series EX 7000D is especially designed for communication in potentially explosive atmospheres. In order to verify their absolute reliability for use in Ex zones with hazardous gases or dusts, the Intercom stations are both ATEX-, CCC- and IECEx-certified. Based on a rugged, corrosion-resistant and lightweight “Ex e” polycarbonate housing, the Series EX 7000D enables simple and rapid installation, eliminates expensive routine servicing and drastically reduces maintenance costs. Additionally, the IP66 certification (acc. to EN/IEC 60079-0) and a wide permissible temperature range make the Intercom stations the perfect choice for a wide range of applications in explosive environments. Thanks to the dust- and water-insensitive microphones and the 16 kHz eHD Voice audio quality, the Series EX 7000D comes with highest speech intelligibility. Even in very noisy environments, two powerful amplifiers for the optional built-in loudspeaker and a connectable PA loudspeaker ensure a crystal clear sound. Furthermore, the microphone and the IVC feature (Intelligent Volume Control) allow to adjust the volume automatically to the ambient noise – even during playback.

The stations feature both ergonomic design and ease of use. The 6-character alphanumeric display allows immediate identification of the called or calling station and displays operating states. The stations have three additional, context sensitive function keys that can perform different functions depending on the implemented features, e.g. electronic volume control and scrolling of display messages. An index field is available to hold important numbers and functions. A multi function LED clearly indicates if the station is active. Series CLS 6 PW
The projector loudspeaker CLS 6 PW for wall and ceiling mounting is designed specifically to provide reliable voice signal transmission under rough indoor conditions (e.g. car parks, exhibition halls and event halls). The 130 mm chassis impresses with a high sound pressure level and an excellent frequency range. As it is based on classic 70/100 V technology, the loudspeaker can be easily combined with any Commend 70/100 V amplifier. The symmetrical design permits horizontal and vertical installation. Anti-theft protection is ensured by the housing used. Suitable for EVAC applications according to DIN 60849.

MIC 480S-08
Creating a small-scale microphone without compromising functionality can be quite a challenge, especially if the device is intended for outdoor environments, where it is subject to various climatic conditions. Commend has come up with an uncompromisingly effective solution to the problem: MIC 480 is specifically designed to transmit voice sound at the usual high quality while guarding against various forms of weather-specific interference. Probably one of the most unfavourable causes of interference is exposure to rain. That’s why the MIC 480 has a distinct shape that prevents rainwater from getting inside. It does so by effectively using the mechanics of surface tension in order to redirect the fluid. Also, the specially designed cavity provides a speech-optimised frequency response that enhances the audibility of the human voice range. MIC 480 is typically installed on intercom terminals in parking columns, ticket machines or elevator panels, or it is used as a customerside microphone for counter intercoms. This versatility makes the microphone suitable for almost any existing intercom solution and ready for future systems. The Intercom station is designed specifically for applications that require outstanding speech intelligibility with ease of use. The OD1-B is equipped with a tactile call button, which can be configured with different functions. In combination with the multi-coloured LED ring, it is possible to visualise different states. This makes the OD1-B suitable for door applications as well as an information station and emergency call station. The OD1-B meets Commend’s high standards for device safety. Cyber security can be enhanced by connecting an IP Secure Connector.
