Description
Holistic Integration for Video and Intercom
The Commend Plugin seamlessly connects the video management platform Milestone XProtect® with the Commend intercom ecosystem built around VirtuoSIS. This IP interface creates a powerful integration between video surveillance and mission-critical voice communication – directly within the familiar XProtect® interface.
The integration is entirely software-based: No additional hardware is required. Communication between systems uses the internal ICX interface of the Commend server as the data connection. Audio and video are transmitted via ONVIF, ensuring reliable and interoperable communication between both systems.
Configuration is performed centrally in the Milestone Management Client, while operators work within the fully customisable Milestone Smart Client.

By combining intercom and video functionality within a single interface, the solution delivers a holistic security concept: audio, video, events and control functions operate seamlessly together – without switching systems and without media disruption.
The result is more efficient event handling, faster response times and greater operational transparency in control room environments.
