Company History From a small office founded with an ideology in mind, to a global player with 23 worldwide sales organizations. Technology Milestones Our technological journey has taken us from the first analogue station, over IP stations, to today's Symphony Cloud Solutions. 1971 Early beginnings 1972 First Intercom Station by Commend Stations work on third party intercom systems 1974 First Intercom Centrals First programmable Intercom Central GE 101 with Intercom Station EE 101 setting new standards in design and technology; a highly successful product. 1980 First global Intercom System using C-MOS Microprocessor Technology 1993 First fully Digital Intercom Station EE 711 – First digital Intercom Station with graphic display brought to market, setting the industry standard for Intercom Technology 1997 Commend introduces the Intercom Server GE 700 Intercom Centrals are re-named as Intercom servers. The GE 700 is a fully digital open 19" system designed for complete intercom networking. Commend leads the way towards the future of intercom. 1998 G7-CNET-W Networking Card - The start of Digital Networking 2002 Intercom goes IP G7-CNET-LAN networking card, allows networking over IP. 2003 OpenDuplex® Commend, once again a pioneer in the Intercom field, introduces technology that allows talking and listening simultaneously. 2005 The launch of Intercom over IP - IoIP® After networking Intercom Servers via IP Commend introduced the IP Intercom box.
