IP Era Video Intercom The next big step was video calls via Intercom with the introduction of the GE 800, the first IP-Intercom server, and the intercom station series WS. Beside the digital stations, the analogue EE 511 could still be connected directly to the server and continue to be used. Ready for the future? Virtualisation Era IP only? Commend presented VirtuoSIS, the world's first Software Intercom Server for virtualised IT environments. IP converters were developed for digital and analogue Intercom stations so that these could continue to be used with the pure IP infrastructure. The EE 511 was still on board. Ready for the future? Cloud Era Calls to Smartphones Once again, Commend was the first company to launch Symphony Cloud, the world's first intercom cloud platform with "Privacy and Security by Design". Software and hardware servers with VirtuoSIS can be connected to the cloud via the Symphony Bridge. This means that the EE 511 from the 80s could talk to a smartphone of the latest generation.
