In order to verify their absolute reliability for use in Ex zones with hazardous gases or dusts, the Intercom stations are both ATEX-, CCC- and IECEx-certified. Based on a rugged, corrosion-resistant and lightweight “Ex e” polycarbonate housing, the Series EX 7000D enables simple and rapid installation, eliminates expensive routine servicing and drastically reduces maintenance costs. Additionally, the IP66 certification (acc. to EN/IEC 60079-0) and a wide permissible temperature range make the Intercom stations the perfect choice for a wide range of applications in explosive environments. Thanks to the dust- and water-insensitive microphones and the 16 kHz eHD Voice audio quality, the Series EX 7000D comes with highest speech intelligibility. Even in very noisy environments, two powerful amplifiers for the optional built-in loudspeaker and a connectable PA loudspeaker ensure a crystal clear sound. Furthermore, the microphone and the IVC feature (Intelligent Volume Control) allow to adjust the volume automatically to the ambient noise – even during playback.

The G3-LAN network cards are the solution to the challenge of IoIP – Intercom over IP: GE 300 and / or GE 800 Intercom Servers can be networked in IP-networks via Ethernet connections. The IP network card supports central management of up to 16 Intercom servers. Up to 8 conversations, music programmes or radio channels are supported simultaneously. Each button can be assigned a call number and the respective labelling field can be printed individually. The large emergency call button is clearly visible even from a great distance and can be pressed quickly in emergency situations. The emergency call station is protected against misuse by a shatterproof glass pane that can be broken in an emergency.

An optimal communication via cell terminal keeps things safe for both custodians and inmates. The Intercom station’s DSP technology is pro- tected by an extremely rugged housing featuring a 3 mm stainless steel front panel. The powerful functionality allows direct communication without opening doors in correctional facilities, forensic clinics as well as police and court holding wards and prison cells. Cell terminal with piezo buttons for calls/emergency calls, light and radio. The piezo buttons are equipped with integrated LEDs. Front panel made of 3 mm (0.12 in) stainless steel, with poke protection and special screws for protection against vandalism. Antenna windows for optional cell phone detection module. The Intercom station is suited for flush mounting with the flush mount box UP 030 (with integrated sabotage contacts).
